She was the daughter of the famous German tenor, Max Lemnitz, who was a member of the Berlin State Opera. Tiana grew up in a musical family and was exposed to classical music from a young age. She showed a keen interest in singing and began taking voice lessons at the age of 14. Tiana's talent was quickly recognized, and she made her debut at the Berlin State Opera in 1919, at the age of 22. She was an instant success and was praised for her beautiful voice and stage presence. Her performances were characterized by her clear and powerful voice, which had a unique timbre that set her apart from other sopranos of her time. Over the next few years, Tiana continued to perform at the Berlin State Opera and other major opera houses in Germany. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented sopranos of her generation. In 1924, she was invited to perform at the Salzburg Festival, where she sang the role of Donna Anna in Mozart's "Don Giovanni." Her performance was a huge success, and she received critical acclaim for her interpretation of the role. Tiana's career continued to flourish, and she became a regular performer at the Bayreuth Festival, where she sang the role of Elsa in Wagner's "Lohengrin." She also performed at the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Her performances were always highly anticipated, and she was known for her ability to bring a unique interpretation to each role she played. In addition to her opera performances, Tiana also gave recitals and performed in concerts. She was particularly known for her performances of lieder, which are German art songs.
