Felicity Palmer is a renowned British mezzo-soprano who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on April 7, 1944, in Cheltenham, England, Palmer grew up in a musical family. Her father was a church organist, and her mother was a singer. Palmer's love for music was evident from a young age, and she began singing in her church choir at the age of six. Palmer received her formal music education at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under the tutelage of Flora Nielsen and Vera Rozsa. She made her professional debut in 1970 at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, where she played the role of Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro." This performance marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career in the world of opera.
