Quatuor Diotima is a French string quartet that has gained international recognition for their innovative and passionate performances of classical music. The quartet was founded in 1996 by violinist Yun-Peng Zhao, violist Franck Chevalier, and cellist Pierre Morlet, with violinist Constance Ronzatti joining in 2012. The quartet takes its name from the Greek philosopher Diotima, who is known for her teachings on love and beauty. Quatuor Diotima has been praised for their ability to convey the emotional depth and beauty of classical music through their performances. Quatuor Diotima has performed at major concert halls and festivals around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Wigmore Hall in London, and the Salzburg Festival. They have collaborated with renowned musicians such as pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard and composer Pascal Dusapin. One of the highlights of Quatuor Diotima's career was their performance of the complete string quartets of Arnold Schoenberg at the Salzburg Festival in 2012.
