Midori Goto, known professionally as Midori, is a world-renowned classical violinist who has captivated audiences with her virtuosic performances and dedication to music education. Born on October 25, 1971, in Osaka, Japan, Midori began playing the violin at the age of three and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Midori's family moved to New York City when she was six years old, and she began studying with renowned violin teacher Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School. By the age of eleven, Midori had already made her debut with the New York Philharmonic, performing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. This performance launched her career as a child prodigy, and she quickly gained international recognition for her exceptional talent. Throughout her teenage years, Midori continued to perform with major orchestras around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
