Hanna Schwarz is a renowned German mezzo-soprano who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on August 25, 1943, in Stettin, Germany (now Szczecin, Poland), she grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. Her father was a conductor, and her mother was a singer, so it was natural for her to develop an interest in music. Schwarz studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, where she received her diploma in 1967. She then joined the Hamburg State Opera, where she made her debut as Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro." Her performance was well-received, and she quickly established herself as a rising star in the opera world. In 1970, Schwarz joined the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where she remained for over a decade. During her time there, she performed in a wide range of operas, including "Carmen," "Don Giovanni," "The Magic Flute," and "The Barber of Seville." She also worked with some of the most renowned conductors of the time, including Herbert von Karajan, Karl Böhm, and Georg Solti. She has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic.
