Okko Kamu is a Finnish conductor who has made a significant impact on the classical music world. Born on March 7, 1946, in Helsinki, Finland, Kamu grew up in a family of musicians. His father, Jussi Kamu, was a violinist, and his mother, Anja Ignatius, was a pianist. Kamu began his musical education at a young age, studying the violin and piano.
