The Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux is a classical music ensemble that was founded in Paris, France in 1881. The orchestra was named after its founder, Charles Lamoureux, who was a French conductor and violinist. Lamoureux was born in Bordeaux, France in 1834 and began his musical career as a violinist. He later became a conductor and founded the Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux with the goal of promoting contemporary music.
