Born on July 23, 1960, in Freudenstadt, Germany, Volle grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a church musician, and his mother was a music teacher. From a young age, Volle was exposed to classical music and began singing in choirs. Volle's passion for music led him to study at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe, where he received his diploma in 1986. He then went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where he received his master's degree in 1990. During his studies, Volle received vocal training from renowned teachers such as Josef Metternich and Hans Hotter. Volle's career as a professional singer began in 1990 when he joined the ensemble of the Staatstheater Nürnberg. He quickly gained recognition for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. In 1993, he made his debut at the Bayreuth Festival, where he performed the role of Klingsor in Richard Wagner's "Parsifal." This performance marked the beginning of Volle's international career. Over the years, Volle has performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Paris Opera. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and directors in the industry, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Peter Stein.
