Christian Elsner is a renowned German tenor who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on August 18, 1962, in Frankfurt, Germany, Elsner grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a church musician, and his mother was a singer. From a young age, Elsner showed a keen interest in music and began singing in the church choir. Elsner's musical education began at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt, where he studied voice and piano. He later continued his studies at the Musikhochschule in Munich, where he received his diploma in voice. During his studies, Elsner was already performing in various opera productions and concerts, gaining valuable experience and exposure. Elsner's breakthrough came in 1990 when he won the International Bach Competition in Leipzig.
