Michael Schønwandt is a Danish conductor who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on September 1, 1953, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Schønwandt grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. Schønwandt started playing the piano at a young age and later learned to play the violin and the trumpet.
