Royal Northern Sinfonia is a British classical music ensemble based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The ensemble was founded in 1958 as the Northern Sinfonia, and it became the Royal Northern Sinfonia in 2013 after receiving a royal title from Queen Elizabeth II.
