Howard Shelley is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music as a pianist, conductor, and composer. Born on April 9, 1950, in London, England, Shelley showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Shelley received his formal education at the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher Cyril Smith. He graduated with honors in 1971 and went on to win several prestigious awards, including the Silver Medal at the 1970 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow.
