Cedric Tiberghien is a French classical pianist who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and insightful interpretations of a wide range of repertoire. Born on August 5, 1975, in Toulouse, France, Tiberghien began playing the piano at the age of five and showed exceptional talent from an early age. Tiberghien's musical education began at the Conservatoire de Toulouse, where he studied with Dominique Merlet. He later continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Michel Beroff and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. Tiberghien's career as a concert pianist began to take off in the early 2000s, when he won several major international competitions, including the Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition in Paris in 2001 and the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2002.
