He made his debut performance at the Vienna State Opera in 1951, where he played the role of Sarastro in Mozart's "The Magic Flute." Throughout his career, Weber was known for his powerful bass voice and his ability to convey deep emotions through his performances. He was particularly renowned for his performances of Wagner's operas, which he performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Paris Opera. One of Weber's most notable performances was his portrayal of Hagen in Wagner's "Götterdämmerung" at the Bayreuth Festival in 1966.
