Artist Info
Adam Barnett-Hart is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a violinist. He was born on August 30, 1986, in Boston, Massachusetts, to a family of musicians. His father, a cellist, and his mother, a pianist, were both members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Growing up in a musical family, Adam was exposed to classical music from a young age and began playing the violin at the age of four. Adam's talent for the violin was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy. He studied with some of the best violin teachers in the world, including Dorothy DeLay, Itzhak Perlman, and Pinchas Zukerman. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 2008. In 2007, Adam became a founding member of the Escher String Quartet, which quickly gained recognition for its exceptional musicianship. The quartet won the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is awarded to outstanding young musicians who show great potential for a major career in classical music. The Escher String Quartet has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Wigmore Hall in London. Adam has also performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors, including Alan Gilbert, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Sir Simon Rattle. One of Adam's most memorable performances was his solo debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2008, where he performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. The performance was widely praised by critics, who noted his exceptional technique and musicality. He has also performed at the Aspen Music Festival, the Ravinia Festival, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. In addition to his performances as a violinist, Adam is also a passionate advocate for music education. He has worked with the New York Philharmonic's Education Department, teaching young musicians and promoting music education in schools. He has also worked with the Sphinx Organization, which is dedicated to promoting diversity in classical music. Adam has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career. In addition to the Avery Fisher Career Grant, he has been awarded the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, the Martin E. Segal Award from Lincoln Center, and the Juilliard School's Peter Mennin Prize for Outstanding Achievement and Leadership in Music. Adam Barnett-Hart is a true virtuoso of the violin, with a passion for music that is evident in every performance. He has established himself as one of the most talented and respected musicians of his generation, and his contributions to classical music will be remembered for years to come.More....
