Born on May 5, 1978, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Zeuthen showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Zeuthen's talent as a pianist was quickly recognized, and he began performing in concerts and competitions throughout Denmark and Europe. In 2001, he won the prestigious Danish Steinway Competition, which led to his debut as a soloist with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. This performance was a major highlight in Zeuthen's career, and it helped to establish him as one of Denmark's most promising young musicians. In addition to his work as a pianist, Zeuthen also began to explore his interest in conducting and composition. He studied conducting with renowned conductors such as Jorma Panula and Michael Schønwandt, and he began to compose his own music, drawing inspiration from classical and contemporary styles. Zeuthen's career as a conductor took off in 2006, when he was appointed as the principal conductor of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in Denmark. This was a major milestone for Zeuthen, as it allowed him to work with a professional orchestra and to showcase his skills as a conductor. He quickly gained a reputation for his innovative programming and his ability to bring out the best in his musicians. Over the years, Zeuthen has conducted many major orchestras and ensembles throughout Europe and the United States. He has worked with the Royal Danish Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic, among others. He has also conducted opera productions at the Royal Danish Opera and the Finnish National Opera. Zeuthen's work as a composer has also been highly acclaimed. He has written music for orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo instruments, and his compositions have been performed by many leading musicians and ensembles. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Carl Nielsen Prize for his contributions to Danish music. Throughout his career, Zeuthen has received many other awards and honors. In 2012, he was named the "Conductor of the Year" by the Danish Music Critics' Association, and in 2014, he was awarded the Order of the Dannebrog, one of Denmark's highest honors. He has also been a frequent guest on radio and television programs, where he has shared his insights into music and his experiences as a musician. He continues to perform, conduct, and compose, and he is always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of classical music. His passion for music and his commitment to excellence have made him one of Denmark's most beloved and respected musicians, and his influence on the classical music world is sure to continue for many years to come.More....
