Bertrand de Billy is a renowned French conductor who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. He was born on September 11, 1955, in Paris, France. His father was a composer, and his mother was a pianist, which exposed him to music at a young age. Bertrand de Billy showed an interest in music from an early age and began studying the piano at the age of six. Bertrand de Billy's musical education began at the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris, where he studied piano, harmony, and counterpoint. He later attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he studied conducting under the tutelage of Pierre Dervaux.
