Michel Lethiec is a renowned French clarinetist and conductor who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on December 11, 1959, in Mont-Saint-Aignan, France, Lethiec showed an early interest in music and began playing the clarinet at the age of nine. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he won first prize in clarinet and chamber music. Lethiec's career as a professional musician began in 1982 when he joined the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France as principal clarinetist. He held this position for ten years before leaving to pursue a solo career. During this time, he also performed with other prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre de Paris. In addition to his work as a clarinetist, Lethiec has also established himself as a conductor.
