Born on May 22, 1979, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Munih showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He went on to study at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and later at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, Croatia. Munih's talent as a pianist was evident from an early age, and he quickly gained recognition for his skill and musicality. He won his first competition at the age of nine and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 1995, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Gorizia, Italy, and in 1997, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Pula, Croatia. Munih's success as a pianist led him to pursue a career as a conductor as well. He studied conducting with renowned conductors such as Jorma Panula and Neeme Järvi and went on to conduct orchestras throughout Europe and Asia. In 2005, he was appointed the principal conductor of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he held until 2010. As a composer, Munih has written works for solo piano, chamber ensembles, and orchestras. His compositions have been performed by numerous musicians and ensembles, including the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Munih's career has been marked by numerous highlights and achievements. In 2001, he performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, one of the most prestigious concert venues in the world. He has also performed at other major concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In addition to his performances as a pianist and conductor, Munih has also been recognized for his contributions to music education. He has taught at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and has given masterclasses and workshops throughout Europe and Asia. Munih's dedication to music has earned him numerous awards and honors throughout his career. In 2003, he was awarded the Prešeren Fund Award, the highest award for artistic achievement in Slovenia.
