Artist Info
Chouchane Siranossian is a French-Armenian violinist who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on October 22, 1987, in Marseille, France, Siranossian grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, Vahan Siranossian, is a cellist and her mother, Ani Siranossian, is a pianist. Siranossian began playing the violin at the age of four and was soon recognized as a prodigious talent. Siranossian's early musical education was shaped by her parents, who were both her teachers. She received her first lessons from her mother and later studied with her father. Siranossian's parents instilled in her a deep love and respect for classical music, and she grew up listening to the great masters of the violin, such as Jascha Heifetz, David Oistrakh, and Yehudi Menuhin. Siranossian's talent was soon recognized by the wider musical community. At the age of nine, she won first prize in the "Jeunes Talents" competition in Marseille. This was followed by a series of other awards and prizes, including the "Prix du Conservatoire" in Marseille and the "Prix du Concours International de Violon de Sion" in Switzerland. Siranossian's musical education continued at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she studied with Jean-Jacques Kantorow and Olivier Charlier. She also studied with Ana Chumachenco at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München in Germany. Siranossian's career as a professional musician began in earnest in 2011, when she won first prize at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig. This was a major turning point in her career, as it brought her to the attention of the international music community. Siranossian's performance of Bach's solo violin works was praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. Since then, Siranossian has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. She has appeared as a soloist with the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, and the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Rouen. She has also collaborated with conductors such as Marc Minkowski, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, and Leonardo García Alarcón. Siranossian's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Shostakovich, among others. She is particularly known for her interpretations of Baroque music, and has been praised for her ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of this music. In addition to her work as a soloist, Siranossian is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with a number of ensembles, including the Trio Sōra, which she co-founded in 2015. The Trio Sōra has won numerous awards and prizes, including the First Prize and Audience Prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. Siranossian's recordings have also received critical acclaim. Her recording of Bach's solo violin works, released in 2016, was praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. Her recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, released in 2018, was also well-received, with critics praising her "dazzling virtuosity" and "sensitive phrasing." Siranossian's musical achievements have been recognized with a number of awards and honors. In 2016, she was awarded the "Prix Thierry Scherz" by the Fondation de France.More....
