Ilona Steingruber was born on May 12, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. She was born into a family of musicians, and her parents were both professional classical musicians. Her father was a cellist, and her mother was a pianist. Ilona grew up surrounded by music, and she began playing the piano at a very young age. Ilona's parents recognized her talent early on, and they encouraged her to pursue a career in music.
