Jandó's career as a pianist began in the 1970s when he won several international competitions, including the Beethoven Competition in Vienna and the Hungarian Radio Piano Competition. One of Jandó's most significant achievements was his recording of the complete piano works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
