Artist Info
Birth:December 2, 1980 in Prague, Czech RepublicHana Blaziková is a Czech soprano and one of the most prominent classical music artists of her generation. She was born on October 18, 1980, in the Czech Republic, and grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a conductor, and her mother was a pianist, so music was always a part of her life. Blaziková began her musical education at the age of six, studying piano and violin. However, she soon discovered her love for singing and began taking voice lessons. She attended the Prague Conservatory, where she studied under the guidance of Eva Blahova. After completing her studies, she continued her education at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she received her master's degree in vocal performance. Blaziková's career began to take off in the early 2000s when she started performing with various early music ensembles. She quickly gained a reputation for her exceptional vocal abilities and her ability to interpret early music with authenticity and sensitivity. Her performances were praised for their clarity, precision, and emotional depth. One of Blaziková's most significant achievements was her collaboration with the Collegium Vocale Gent, a renowned early music ensemble led by Philippe Herreweghe. She performed with the ensemble on numerous occasions, including a performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, which was widely acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Blaziková has also performed with other prominent early music ensembles, including the Huelgas Ensemble, the Bach Collegium Japan, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. She has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. In addition to her performances, Blaziková has also recorded extensively. She has released several solo albums, including "Il primo omicidio," a recording of Scarlatti's oratorio, and "Lettere amorose," a collection of Italian Baroque arias. She has also recorded with various ensembles, including the Collegium Vocale Gent and the Huelgas Ensemble. Blaziková's exceptional talent has been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2005, she was awarded the prestigious Czech Music Critics' Award for her performance in Bach's St. Matthew Passion. She has also been awarded the Early Music Prize by the Czech Music Fund and the Early Music Prize by the Czech Radio. Blaziková continues to perform and record, and her reputation as one of the most talented and versatile classical music artists of her generation continues to grow.
