In 1996, Haage was accepted into the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Klaus Hellwig. During his time at the conservatory, Haage honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. Haage's talent and dedication paid off when he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Vienna in 2002. This was a major achievement for the young pianist and marked the beginning of his international career. Over the next few years, Haage performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, gaining critical acclaim for his virtuosic performances and musical sensitivity.
