Oleg Kagan was a renowned classical music artist who was born on November 22, 1946, in Moscow, Russia. He was born into a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known violinist. Kagan began playing the violin at the age of four, and by the time he was six, he was already performing in public. Kagan's talent was recognized early on, and he was accepted into the Central Music School in Moscow at the age of seven. He studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent violin teachers in Russia, including Yuri Yankelevich and David Oistrakh. Kagan's exceptional talent and dedication to his craft led him to win several prestigious awards, including the First Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1970.
