Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a violinist. From a young age, Oda showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Oda's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music seriously. She began taking piano lessons and quickly progressed, showing a natural ability for the instrument.
