Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1982, Lifits showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and by the time he was a teenager, he had won several prestigious competitions in his home country. In 2002, Lifits moved to Germany to continue his musical education, studying with renowned pianist Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media. Under Kämmerling's tutelage, Lifits honed his technical skills and developed a deep understanding of the nuances of classical music interpretation. Lifits' talent and hard work paid off in 2009, when he won the prestigious Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv, Israel.
