Born on January 29, 1967, in Berlin, Germany, Blacher was raised in a family of musicians. His father, Boris Blacher, was a well-known composer, and his mother, Helga Blacher, was a pianist. Blacher began his musical education at the age of six, studying the violin with his mother. He later went on to study with renowned violinists such as Uwe-Martin Haiberg and Nathan Milstein.
