Richard O'Neill is a world-renowned violist and one of the most sought-after musicians of his generation. Born on January 18, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, O'Neill grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist and his mother was a pianist, and they both encouraged him to pursue music from a young age. O'Neill began playing the viola at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He studied with some of the most respected teachers in the United States, including Heidi Castleman and Karen Tuttle. He also attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music.
