Hilary Davan Wetton is a renowned British conductor and choral specialist, known for his exceptional musicianship and dedication to the art of classical music. Born on September 13, 1946, in London, England, Wetton grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. His father was a professional violinist, and his mother was a pianist and music teacher. Wetton began his musical education at the age of six, studying piano and violin. He later attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied conducting under Sir Adrian Boult and composition under Richard Rodney Bennett. Wetton also studied at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a degree in music.
