Valdengo made his professional debut in 1935 at the Teatro Carignano in Turin, where he performed the role of Marcello in Puccini's La Bohème. Valdengo went on to perform in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Royal Opera House in London. One of Valdengo's most notable performances was his portrayal of the title character in Verdi's Rigoletto.
