Lise Davidsen is a Norwegian soprano who has quickly risen to international acclaim for her powerful and expressive voice. Born on February 13, 1987, in Stokke, Norway, Davidsen grew up in a musical family and began singing in choirs at a young age. She initially pursued a career in nursing, but her love for singing eventually led her to study at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Davidsen's talent was quickly recognized, and she won several prestigious awards early in her career. In 2015, she won the Queen Sonja International Music Competition, which is held in Oslo and is one of the most prestigious vocal competitions in the world. She also won the Kirsten Flagstad Prize, named after the legendary Norwegian soprano, in 2017. Davidsen's breakthrough came in 2018, when she made her debut at the Bayreuth Festival in Germany, performing the role of Elisabeth in Richard Wagner's "Tannhäuser."
