The Orchestre du Théâtre National de l'Opéra de Paris, also known as the Paris Opera Orchestra, is one of the most prestigious classical music ensembles in the world. Founded in 1672, it is one of the oldest orchestras in Europe and has a rich history of performing some of the most iconic works in the classical music repertoire. The orchestra was originally founded as the Académie Royale de Musique, and was closely associated with the Paris Opera. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes, but has always remained closely tied to the Paris Opera. Today, it is known as the Orchestre du Théâtre National de l'Opéra de Paris, and is made up of some of the most talented musicians in the world.
