Ensemble Musique Oblique is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1992 by a group of musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Brussels, Belgium, and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances of classical and contemporary music. The founding members of Ensemble Musique Oblique were violinist Jean-Pierre Peuvion, cellist Michel Boulanger, and pianist Jean-Luc Fafchamps. Ensemble Musique Oblique has received numerous awards and accolades over the years, including the Prix de la Critique in Belgium and the Diapason d'Or in France. The ensemble has also been featured on numerous radio and television programs, and has collaborated with a number of leading musicians and ensembles, including the Arditti Quartet, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and the London Sinfonietta. Today, Ensemble Musique Oblique continues to be one of the most innovative and dynamic chamber music ensembles in Europe, pushing the boundaries of classical music and inspiring audiences around the world with its virtuosic performances and innovative programming.
