Sinfonia Varsovia is a classical music ensemble based in Warsaw, Poland. The orchestra was founded in 1984 by Yehudi Menuhin, a renowned violinist and conductor, and Jerzy Semkow, a Polish conductor. The ensemble was established with the aim of promoting Polish music and culture on an international level. The orchestra's main members include its conductor and artistic director, Krzysztof Penderecki, a Polish composer and conductor who has won numerous awards for his work, including four Grammy Awards. Other notable members of the ensemble include the concertmaster, Bartosz Bryła, and the principal cellist, Andrzej Bauer.
