He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Jan showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Jan's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of six. Jan continued to excel in his studies and was accepted into the Prague Conservatory at the age of 14. During his time at the conservatory, Jan studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Ivan Klansky. He also had the opportunity to perform in numerous concerts and competitions, winning several awards and accolades. In 2003, Jan won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Prague, cementing his reputation as a rising star in the classical music world. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Jan went on to study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he earned his master's degree in piano performance. He continued to perform in concerts and competitions, winning several more awards, including first prize at the International Piano Competition in Bratislava in 2007. Jan's talent and dedication to his craft caught the attention of several prominent musicians and conductors, and he was invited to perform with some of the world's leading orchestras. In 2008, he made his debut with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a resounding success, and Jan was praised for his technical skill and musicality. Over the years, Jan has performed with many other orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Riccardo Muti. Jan's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. He has also been named a Steinway Artist, an honor bestowed upon only the most accomplished pianists in the world.
