She was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1943, and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Rosenberger studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree. She continued her studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, and later at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Master of Music degree. Rosenberger's career as a pianist began in the 1970s, and she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent. She has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Rosenberger's most notable performances was her debut at Carnegie Hall in 1975. She received critical acclaim for her performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, and the New York Times praised her "brilliant technique and musical sensitivity." Rosenberger has also been recognized for her recordings, which have received numerous awards and accolades. Her recording of the complete piano works of George Gershwin was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1987, and her recording of the complete piano works of Claude Debussy was named "Best Recording of the Year" by Stereo Review in 1990. In addition to her performing and recording career, Rosenberger is also a respected educator. She has taught at the University of Southern California and the Colburn School of Performing Arts, and has given masterclasses and workshops around the world. Rosenberger has also been a champion of new music, and has commissioned and premiered works by many contemporary composers. She has worked closely with composers such as John Williams, John Corigliano, and William Bolcom, and has recorded their works for various labels. She was named a Steinway Artist in 1975, and has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Southern California and the Outstanding Alumna Award from the Juilliard School of Music. In 2000, Rosenberger was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder that affected her ability to play the piano. Despite this setback, she continued to perform and record, and even wrote a book about her experience, entitled "To Play Again: A Memoir of Musical Survival." Today, Rosenberger continues to perform and record, and is widely regarded as one of the most talented and influential pianists of her generation. Her dedication to music and her commitment to excellence have inspired countless musicians and music lovers around the world.More....
