Jan Willem Jansen is a renowned Dutch classical pianist and organist, known for his virtuosic performances and interpretations of Baroque and Romantic music. Born on March 9, 1968, in Amsterdam, Jansen showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He later studied at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he received his diploma in piano performance with distinction. Jansen's career as a professional musician began in the early 1990s, when he won several prestigious international competitions, including the International Bach Competition in Leipzig and the International Organ Competition in Nijmegen.
