He was born on April 22, 1960, in Moscow, Russia. His father, Lev Rudin, was a famous cellist, and his mother, Galina Kozlova, was a pianist. Alexander grew up in a musical family and started playing the cello at the age of six. Alexander Rudin's talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly became a prodigy.
