Kalman Berkes is a renowned Hungarian clarinetist who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on August 4, 1959, in Budapest, Hungary, Berkes showed an early interest in music and began playing the clarinet at the age of eight. He received his formal education at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he studied under the tutelage of Bela Kovacs.
