Emily van Evera is a renowned classical music artist known for her exceptional vocal range and interpretation of early music. Born in 1954 in the United States, van Evera grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She studied music at the University of California, Berkeley, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. After completing her studies, van Evera moved to England to pursue a career in early music.
