Barbara Borden is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of percussion and contemporary music. Born in 1949 in San Francisco, California, Borden grew up in a family that valued music and the arts. Her father was a jazz musician, and her mother was a painter, which exposed her to different forms of art from a young age. Borden's interest in music began when she was a child, and she started playing the piano at the age of six.
