Janis Kelly is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of opera and musical theatre. Born on 19th May 1958 in Liverpool, England, Kelly grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a jazz pianist, and her mother was a singer, which inspired Kelly to pursue a career in music. Kelly began her musical journey at the age of six when she started taking piano lessons. She later joined the choir at her local church, where she discovered her love for singing. Kelly went on to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1980.
