Jeremy Lubbock was born on August 31, 1951, in London, England. He was raised in a musical family, with his father being a jazz pianist and his mother a singer. Lubbock began playing the piano at a young age and showed a natural talent for music. At the age of 16, Lubbock moved to Los Angeles with his family. He continued his musical education at the University of Southern California, where he studied composition and arranging. During this time, he also began working as a session musician, playing piano and keyboards on recordings for a variety of artists. In the 1970s, Lubbock became a sought-after arranger and conductor in the music industry. He worked with a wide range of artists, including Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, and Michael Jackson. He also arranged music for films and television shows, including The Color Purple and The Simpsons. Lubbock's work as an arranger and conductor earned him numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. He won four Grammy Awards for his work on albums by Quincy Jones, George Benson, and Michael Jackson. He also received an Emmy Award for his work on the television show Moonlighting. In addition to his work as an arranger and conductor, Lubbock was also a composer and pianist.
