David Foster is a Canadian musician, composer, and record producer who has made a significant impact on the world of classical music. Born on November 1, 1949, in Victoria, British Columbia, Foster grew up in a musical family and began playing piano at a young age. He was a prodigious talent and quickly gained recognition for his abilities. Foster's early career was marked by a series of collaborations with other musicians. He worked as a session musician and arranger for a variety of artists, including George Harrison, Diana Ross, and Barbra Streisand.
