Neue Hofkapelle München is a classical music ensemble based in Munich, Germany. The ensemble was founded in 1990 by Christoph Hammer, a renowned conductor and harpsichordist. The group is known for its authentic performances of Baroque and Classical music, using period instruments and historically informed performance practices. The ensemble's main members include Christoph Hammer, who serves as the artistic director and conductor, as well as a harpsichordist and organist. Other members include violinists Veronika Skuplik and Anne Katharina Schreiber, violist Friedemann Wezel, cellist Hille Perl, and bassoonist Sergio Azzolini, among others. Neue Hofkapelle München has performed at major venues and festivals throughout Europe, including the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
