Erkki Pohjola was a Finnish classical music artist who was born on May 27, 1941, in Helsinki, Finland. He was the son of the famous Finnish composer, Einojuhani Rautavaara, and grew up in a musical family. Pohjola started playing the piano at a young age and showed a great interest in music. He later went on to study at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he received his degree in piano performance. After completing his studies, Pohjola began his career as a concert pianist and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent. He performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, and his performances were highly praised by critics and audiences alike. Pohjola was known for his technical proficiency and his ability to convey emotion through his playing.
