Angelici made her professional debut in 1932, when she performed the role of Micaela in Georges Bizet's opera Carmen at the Opéra-Comique in Paris. She was particularly skilled at performing French art songs, and she recorded many of these songs throughout her career. She also performed in concerts and recitals, and she was a regular performer at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Angelici received many awards and honors throughout her career. In 1953, she was awarded the Legion of Honor, one of the highest honors in France. She was also awarded the Grand Prix du Disque, a prestigious music award, in 1954.
