Genre:ChoralSymphonyJanice Taylor was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Janice showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As Janice grew older, she became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly excelled at the instrument and began performing in local orchestras and competitions. At the age of 14, Janice won first place in the prestigious Young Artist Competition, which launched her career as a professional musician. Janice went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. During her time at Juilliard, Janice had the opportunity to study with some of the most renowned violinists in the world, including Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. After graduating from Juilliard, Janice began performing with some of the top orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and dynamic violinists of her generation. In 2010, Janice was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who show great potential for a major career in classical music. The award helped to further establish Janice as one of the most promising young musicians in the world. Throughout her career, Janice has performed in some of the most renowned concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with some of the most celebrated conductors and musicians of our time, including Daniel Barenboim, Yo-Yo Ma, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. In addition to her work as a performer, Janice is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses at some of the top music schools in the world, including the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Janice is also a passionate advocate for music education and has worked with numerous organizations to promote music education in schools and communities around the world. Janice's talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous accolades and awards throughout her career. In addition to the Avery Fisher Career Grant, she has been awarded the Solti Foundation Career Assistance Award, the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, and the Gilmore Young Artist Award. Despite her many accomplishments, Janice remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to push herself to new heights as a performer and teacher, and her passion for music is evident in every note she plays.
