From a young age, Zerbini showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Zerbini's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, mastering complex pieces by Mozart and Beethoven at a young age. At the age of 12, Zerbini made his debut performance at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. He played Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, impressing the audience with his technical skill and musicality. Zerbini continued to perform at various venues throughout Italy, gaining a reputation as a prodigious young talent. He won several awards and competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Rome and the Busoni Piano Competition in Bolzano. In 1996, Zerbini was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Moscow, where he played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was a huge success, and Zerbini received a standing ovation from the audience. Following his success in Moscow, Zerbini was invited to perform at several other international festivals, including the Salzburg Festival and the Edinburgh International Festival.
